Michael specializes in commercial/investment real estate sales and leasing, development consulting, and wealth-focused real estate strategies throughout Utah and the Intermountain West. His experience spans office, industrial, land, mixed-use development, investment properties, and 1031 exchange planning and he maintains a superb network of other specialists and allied professionals to support his clients.

Michael holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Utah and earned his Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Analysis of Markets and Organizations (QAMO) from the David Eccles School of Business. During his time at the University of Utah, he was selected as an Opportunity Scholar, served as a Business Scholars Leader and University Representative, and earned 3rd Place in the University of Utah Real Estate Challenge (UREC) Competition, where teams evaluate and present institutional-quality real estate development opportunities before industry professionals.

In addition to his brokerage practice, Michael has experience in wealth advisory and alternative investments, helping accredited investors evaluate tax-efficient real estate strategies, 1031 exchanges, Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investments, syndications, and private real estate offerings. His background in both commercial real estate and investment planning allows him to help clients understand how real estate decisions fit within broader wealth creation, preservation, and legacy planning objectives.​

Michael is a member of the Utah Chapter of the CCIM Institute and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).  He is a full partner in Spark Realty and is on partner track at the Ashlar Institute, a national private real estate consultancy and think tank serving the real estate brokerage industry.  He is a senior coach and trainer, teaching top tier courses and agents.  Mike is also a founding partner of Alembica, a highly specialized firm providing real estate advisory to the wealth management industry.

He is also a licensed general contractor, adding practical knowledge of development, construction, entitlement, underwriting, investment analysis, and transaction execution. He holds the Spark/Ashlar certifications for both Land and New Construction, among the toughes and most comprehensive in the industry. He regularly advises investors, developers, business owners, and family offices on acquisitions, dispositions, site selection, development feasibility, and portfolio optimization strategies.

Michael is known for his analytical approach, balanced by a creative perspective, and a relaxed attitude.  This steady hand is recognized by his peers and he is asked to  collaborate often.  Mike is a competitive martial artist and instructor, plays soccer when he gets the chance, and lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and family.
